How should we proceed in the face of cruelty against dogs and other animals?

• The first thing we should know is that it is a crime, typified and punished in the Penal Code. Furthermore, it is a crime considered to be “public action”, that is, it can be reported by anyone.

• We must provide as much information as possible about the event itself, that is, photographs, videos, autopsies, veterinary reports, witnesses, etc.

• We will also collect as much data as possible about the perpetrator of the abuse. Name, address and any other information related to the abuser.

• Like a complaint, we can also file a criminal complaint in these cases of animal abuse to start a judicial process and punish the crime.
