Dogs That Work In A Tennis Tournament

This news happened in Brazil and has to do with some dogs that worked in a tennis tournament.
Perhaps when you have heard the word “work” it sounds a bit like animal exploitation but nothing to do with it. Do not miss all the history in detail.
The big idea: Dogs working at a tennis tournament
Mel, Frida, Costela and Isabelle are four mongrel dogs that have lived on the streets of Sao Paulo in Brazil a long time before a protector called the Association of Animal Welfare Friends of Celia rescued them and kept them in their facilities.
They looked for someone to adopt them, but we all know that unfortunately most people want puppies and breed if possible. They do not know what they lose!
So this association had to come up with an idea to help these dogs find a family. And suddenly it happened. They thought of a show, one that would have a large audience and where the dogs could be seen by many people. Who knows, maybe someone would fall in love with them.
But what if the dogs also did something never seen before? That would be too much! No one could resist the charm and charisma of these little dogs.
But what show, show or event could it be? The tennis match between two greats: Roberto Garbelles and Gastao Elías.
Half of the work was already done, it only remained to think about what the animals could do to surprise.
Do you need some ball pickers?
What does a dog like the most? Running after a ball! And if the dog is also as obedient as our tournament friends are, they will even bring it back to you. Just what any tennis match needs.
So it was. They spoke with the tennis players and organizers and… hired! The puppies were allowed to help in the game and at the same time show off their skills.
The tennis tournament begins
These little dogs rehearsed for months to be able to do a great job like they did at the tennis tournament. Everyone was amazed. And they did not let a ball pass, the entire court was free of it all the time.
Even the tennis players were delighted. Garballes said that “it was very fun to see them there, they had a very funny way of picking up the balls and also for a good cause.”
So funny that even the tennis players themselves sometimes threw them on purpose to see them go looking for them. People applauded the dogs more when they caught a ball than the tennis players themselves when they hit it.
Without a doubt, they were the sensation of the tennis tournament.
The objective of the NGO that promoted this initiative is to encourage the adoption of stray dogs and increasingly make more people aware of not abandoning them.
And this story teaches that any dog can be loving, intelligent, a good guardian and even if you need it, a perfect ball picker.
It is sad that even in the animal world we let ourselves be carried away by appearances, preferring to pay hundreds of euros or dollars for a “magazine” dog and helping them continue to be mistreated in animal farms than to prefer to adopt a brave, affectionate and loyal that he needs it even if he has no pedigree
The important thing is always what is in the heart, and although all dogs have a good heart, never forget that an abandoned dog in addition to a good heart will be filled with gratitude if you give him a home to live in.
